A feature rich web application that enables newspaper publishers to manage all facets of Public Notice and Display Ad type publishing. This system maintains the ad text or ad image, generates the scheduling of when the ad will publish, creates a fresh zip file for graphic artist to download with all of the ad contents for a given publish date, generates invoicing, and creates a filable "Proof of Publlication" declaration document.   Manage multiple publication titles that you publish.
   
• ROLES BASED SECURITY
  Allows administrator to add/modify user logins and assign them to different security roles which allow user to be able or not able to access certain functions of the system. Users are allowed to change their own password.
   
• LOGICAL DATA HIERARCHY
  PubManager employs the following basic hierarchy: Publishers have Customers. Customers have Ads. Ads are assigned a Publication. Ads have Schedules. This structure makes it very easy to manage data in PubManager.
   
• CUSTOMER DATABASE
  PubManager stores basic customer information: Company Name, Contact Name, Address Line1, Address Line 2, City, State, Zip, Phone, Fax, e-mail.
   
• ADS CAN BE TEXT OR AN IMAGES UPLOAD
  PubManger provides flexibility to have an image upload for an ad, which makes it ideal for Display Ad management.
   
• AD DATABASE- ONE PAGE AD SET-UP
  One page sets up the Ad text and/or image, Tag Line, ad type, billing amounts/methods, and scheduling parameters.
   
• INTEGRATED AUTOMATIC SCHEDULING
  Upon saving ad details, you have the option of having the system build a run schedule based on the schedule parameters. Options are: daily, weekly, monthly, custom which is every x number of days.
   
• MANUAL SCHEDULING
  Allows you to add, modify, and delete run schedules associated with the ad.
   
• GRAPHIC ARTIST'S FILE
  The Export Schedule function exports just the ads that have a schedule that is the publish date and matches other filter criteria including Publication and Ad type. Upon export, the graphic artist receives an email informing him that a zip is waiting to be downloaded. The email contains a manifest of the Ads that will be contained in the zip file. The zip file contains a text file with all of this publish date's text concatated together with an ad delimiter easy import into QuarkXpress or other layout software. The zip file also contains image files if applicable). This allows the graphic artist to have a complete package of all data to be run for each publish date.
  
• INTEGRATED AUTOMATIC INVOICING
  Upon saving Ad details, you have the option of having the system build an invoicing schedule. Options are generating an invoice on first run, each run, or last run.
   
• MANUAL INVOICING
  Allows you to add, modify, and delete run invoices associated with the ad.
   
• AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF PROOF OF PUBLICATION DECLARATION
  By default, the Proof of Publication is generated on the last run in the Ad's run schedule set.
   
• USER DEFINED AD TYPES
  The Publisher can define Ad types and their defaults (ie number of runs). One of these ad types must be selected upon creating an Ad and the associated overridable default values will pre-populate.
   
• PDF REPORTS
  All reports are generated as an Adobe Acrobat Reader .pdf format.
   
• AD RUN AND BILLING STATISTICS
  Statistics by month for a selectable year. Total # of runs, Total billing, Number of first runs, Average billing per run, Average billing per first run, Average number of runs per first run.
   
• DATA BACK-UP
  This function allows you to create a backup of the database and image files. You can download these files to your computer or leave it on our server and our server will transfer it to our remote backup server.
   
• UNICODE ENABLED
  Unicode is a universal standard for character encoding. Click to learn more. Applications and fonts that support Unicode allow users of different operating systems, different languages, and different countries to correctly see the same characters. PubManager used with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and above supports Unicode. The Graphic Aritist's file can be saved in the following encoding formats 'ANSI', 'ASCII', 'BigEndianUnicode' for Mac computers, Unicode, UTF7, UTF8. For Unicode to be properly interpreted on your system, you will need to have an Operating System that supports Unicode. Modern mainstream operating systems support Unicode. Microsoft Windows 2000 and higher has Unicode support, as does Macintosh OS 9.2 or higher, but 10.2 is much better supported. Unicode info for Mac. You will also need fonts that support Unicode. Most recent commercial fonts have Unicode character-glyph maps, although they may or may not include large repertoires, meaning all Uniocde characters might not be supported. Lastly, your page layout software must support Unicode. QuarkXPress version 7 supports Unicode. Abobe's InDesign version 2 supports Unicode.
   

Licensing:

• SUBSCRIPTION BASED ACCESS.
  PubManager is licensed on a subscription basis. There is no sale of software. You are granted a license to access and use the system for the subscription term.
